Kasvun iloa / Happy growth

Kasvimaalla näyttää aivan hyvältä ja kasvu on lähtenyt käyntiin tällaisella huonollakin hoidolla. Pavuille tein täydennyskylvöjä ja yksi porkkanapenkeistä vähän jännittää. Muut näyttävät aivan hyviltä. Mukavaa seurata jälleen kasvun ilmettä!

Seedlings and plantings look good at the vegetable lot and they are growing once again. I did some reseeding of beans and one of the carrot beds is waiting to go on the way. Every thing else looks good evev with this lousy care keeping. Great to follow the growth of the veggies again!

Tästä muodostui surullinen päivä kun käytiin muorin kanssa lääkärissä geriatrian toimintakeskuksessa kuulemassa muistitestien ja -tutkimusten tuloksia. Alzheimerin tauti sinne on alkanut muotoutua, valitettavasti. Tauti on kyllä jo alkanut ennen aivoinfarktia, näin kun jälkikäteen niitä oireita ajattelee. Lääkitys alkaa nyt, mutta sydämen haarakatkoksesta johtuen se ei ole kaikkein voimakkain. Tänään en osaa vielä oikein käsittää ja käsitellä asiaa. Surettaa muorin puolesta vain. toivoin hänelle myös kivutonta ja levollista aikaa.

Went to a doctor today with Mom to hear results of her memory tests and examinations. Bad news is that she has Alzheimers. It has started developing before her stroke. I’m having a difficult time to handle this right now. They gave her some medication, but not the s trongest one because of her heartt. I can only wish her painless and easy time to come.

Tämä kappale äänitettiin muutamaa päivää ennen Otsin menehtymistä lentokoneonnettomuudessa vuonna 1967, se julkaistiin seuraavana vuonna. Nautitaan näistä lämpimistä päivistä, laineiden liplatuksesta ja kesän ihanuudesta.

This mellow soul song, ‘The Dock Of The Bay‘ is by Otis Redding, he recorded the song just few days before he was killed in a plane crash at 1967. The song was released the following year and it became an instant hit.

Congratulations to the Finnish football team! A miracle has happened, we finally made it to the European championships and won our first game there! This is as big as Lord winning the Eurovision Son Contest ten years ago! (We are more into ice hockey than soccer.)

Tänään alkoi vapaajakso! Iloa ja riemua koko kesän ajaksi. Toivottavasti. Aloitetaan tää homma kuitenkin Cliff Richardin ja The Shadowsien superimelällä ‘Summer Holidays‘ biisillä vuodelta 1963. Laulun ovat kirjoittaneet Bruce Welch ja Brian Bennett. Laulu on nähty samannimisessä elokuvassa. Sillä aikaa kun te kuuntelette minä käyn työterveyslääkärissä näyttämässä päätä ja kylkiluita. Kompuroin töihin eilen otsa asfalttia kyntäen. Nilkka muljahti asfaltissa olleeseen reikään ja siitä rähmälleen. Onneksi oli pari kassia vaimentamassa pahinta iskua ja luulen että tästä selvitään säikäyksellä. Eilen ei saanut sinne aikoja, onneksi tänään pääsee. Että tällainen alku tällä kertaa.

On the way to work yesterday I fell at the parking place. A foot slipped in to a small hole in an asphalt and I hit the ground. Better go to check my ribs and head. Did’n have a change to go yesterday. Great start for a holiday!
