Joulupukkia kun vielä joutuu tovin jos toisenkin odottelemaan, niin soitetaanpa piristykseski “Daddy Cool” Dartsin versiona vuodelta 1977. Alkuperäinen Daddy Cool kuultiin The Rays yhtyeen esittämänä jo vuonna 1957. Hauskan chipmunks-version tästä on tehnyt myös australialainen Drummond. Biisi on Frank Slayn ja Bob Crewen käsialaa. Darts oli brittibändi, joka teki omia versioitaan useista tunnetuista R&B biiseistä.
There are still few days to wait for Santa, meanwhile lets play Darts‘ version on “Daddy Cool” from 1977. The song is originally The Rays‘ recording from 1957. Australian band, Drummond, made this Chipmunks version of the song in the seventeens. The song is written by Frank Slay and Bob Crewe. Darts was a British band that made covers of R&B songs.

Tänään ääneen pääsee tunnelmallinen ja iki-ihana ’The Air That I Breathe’ The Holliesien esittämänä. Biisin on säveltänyt ja sanoittanut Albert Hammond ja Mike Hazlewood ja Hammond julkaisi sen vuonna 1972 ’It Never Rains in Southern California’ albumilla. The Hollies teki siitä hitin kaksi vuotta myöhemmin. Simply Red teki vuonna 1998 biisistä oman versionsa.
Today we’ll listen The Hollies’ version of the ever sweet ’The Air That I Breathe’. The song was origanally released at 1972 by Albert Hammond, who wrote it with Mike Hazlewood. The song was released in Hammond’s ’It Never Rains in Southern California’ album. The Hollies released their version couple years later and made the song a hit. Simply Red had their version out at 1998.

Kävin aamulla Imatralla enkä malttanut olla käymättä vesivoimalaitoksella katsomassa sumun muodostumista veden pintaan. Pakkasta oli -24 C˚, muutaman kuvan kerkesi ottamaan ennen kuin sormet hyytyivät.
Visited the neighbouring city, Imatra, this morning and managed to take few pictures at the hydroelectric power-plant before my fingers were frozen. The temperature was -24 C˚ and I wanted to see how the fog was forming on the top of the water.
Pääsin aamulla kipuamaan korkean kerrostalon yläterassille katselemaan auringonnousua tuossa sairaalan kulmilla. Pakkasta kuvanottohetkellä oli -17 C˚.
I had an opportunity this morning to visit a highrise next to our hospital and experience the sunrise from there. We had a cold day and there were -17 degrees at the time of these photos.
