Ensimmäiset pilkahdukset kevään lähestymisestä ilmaantuivat tänään Keski-Suomen korkeuksilla. Plus neljään asteeseen noussut lämpötila ja jo hieman lämmittävä aurinko loi iloa talviloman ensimmäiseen päivään. Ja huomenna tiedossa samaa!

The first signs of seing arrived to Central Finland today where I’m spending the spring break. the temperature reached +4 C an the sun felt warm. Beautiful day and more to come tomorrow!

Finger clipping weather

Kävin aamulla Imatralla enkä malttanut olla käymättä vesivoimalaitoksella katsomassa sumun muodostumista veden pintaan. Pakkasta oli -24 C˚, muutaman kuvan kerkesi ottamaan ennen kuin sormet hyytyivät.

Visited the neighbouring city, Imatra, this morning and managed to take few pictures at the hydroelectric power-plant before my fingers were frozen. The temperature was -24 C˚ and I wanted to see how the fog was forming on the top of the water.

Sunrise at a highrise

Pääsin aamulla kipuamaan korkean kerrostalon yläterassille katselemaan auringonnousua tuossa sairaalan kulmilla. Pakkasta kuvanottohetkellä oli -17 C˚.

I had an opportunity this morning to visit a highrise next to our hospital and experience the sunrise from there. We had a cold day and there were -17 degrees at the time of these photos.

Puhtaampia, mutta hävyttömän kalliita kilometrejä! 1,87 € / litra tänään! Puhtaus syntyy ehkä vähemmillä kilometreillä.

They are advertising cleaner kilometers. Cleaner, but so expensive! I paid today 1,87 € / litre and it wasn’t the highest prize I’ve seen during the past few days. It will be cleaner driving with lesser kilometers!

Tässä lähellä on Pappilanniemen luonnonsuojelualue ja sitä risteilevä kuntopolkuverkosto. Hyvä kohde lyhyelle päiväkävelylle lehtometsän siimeksessä ja Saimaan rantoja hipoen aivan kaupungin kupeessa.

I’m lucky to live near by this Pappilanniemi nature reserve and trail. A beutiful grove to visit near the city and by the Lake of Saimaa.

The most beautiful sunny weather is caressing us at the end of the summer. The sides of ditches are burstin with yellow.

Aloitin kuntokuurin ja hyvän sään salliessa yritän näin aluksi kävellä mahdollisimman paljon. Korona ja etätyö ovat myös tuoneet muutaman ylimääräisen kilon vyötärölle, jotka ajattelin heittää pois. Tie on pitkä ja kivinen, mutta tehdäkseni matkasta mielenkiintoista päätin alkaa kuvaamaan kävelyreitin varrelta yksityiskohtia. Näin saa alkunsa uusi kategoria: kävelyreitin varrelta.

I’ve started a fitness program of my own and I’m trying to walk as much as possible when the weather is reasonable. Corona time and remote work is showing on my waist and that’s something to get rid off. To make this walking process more interesting I’m going to take photos along the way and post them under a new category called: along the walkway.
