Saturday Classics – 27022021

Lumet sulaa ja kevät tulla jolkottaa, ainakin hetkellisesti. Voidaan hyvinkin heittäytyä odottelemaan lämpöä ja aurinkoa The Doorsin tahdissa. ‘Waiting for the Sun‘ ilmestyi vihdoin vuonna 1969 ‘Morrison Hotel‘ albumilla. Alun perin biisi oli tarkoitettu ‘Waiting for the Sun‘ -albumille, mutta viime metreillä se jätettiin pois.

Snow is melting and it smells like an early spring, momentarily. We can enjoy waiting of the sun and warmth with The Doors’ song ‘Waiting for the Sun‘. The song was finally released at 1969 at the ‘Morrison Hotel‘ album. It was written for the ‘Waiting for the Sun‘ album but was left out at the last moment.

Social distancing – Day 60

Huilipäivä! Kroppa ja pää vaativat totaalista huilaamista ennen kevätlukukauden viimeistä rutistusta. Niinpä olen nautiskellut lauantai klassikoista, lukenut, ottanut pitkät päiväunet ja ihastellut kevättä. Koivujen hiirenkorvilla olo on minulle se paras aika vuodesta, lyhyt hetki jota odottaessa jaksaa koko pitkän talven.

Resting day! Body and mind said it’s time to rest well before the last pressure of the spring semester. I’ve been enjoying Saturday Classics, taken long afternoon naps and enjoyed the spring. This time when the birches leaves are just sprouting is the best time of the year for me. Waiting for this short moment keeps me going though the long and dark winter.

Hei, It’s Spring!

Vihdoinkin! Maa on sulanut juuri sopivasti kansainvälisen Maan päivän kunniaksi meilläkin sen verran, että kukkaloisto pääsee alkamaan.

At last! The ground has melted enoug for the first spring blooms shooting up celebrating the international Earth Day.

Water is waking up – 1

Pikkuhiljaa alkavat jäät lähteä ja vesi pääsee vapaana liikkumaan. Viikonlopun kuvausreissulla pääsin jo näin lähelle vapaata vettä ja ajatusta uimisesta.

Slowly but surely the ice is melting and water will run free. At the weekend’s photowalk I managed to get this close of free water. It made me thinking of swimming season.
