Talvi kurkistaa / Winter is peeking

Talvi kurkistelee ja kokeilee, mutta taitaa vetäytyä. Kauas se ei pääse sillä pilvet roikkuvat maassa. Hienoja sumuja ollut lumisateen hellitettyä. Nyt siellä on taasen aika vetistä.

Winter is peeking and testing but looks like it’s retiring for now. Can’t go very far thou, the clouds are hangin on the ground. We’ve had some beautiful fogs after the snow fall. Now its watery again.

Käväisin illalla tuolla tehtaan toisella puolella ja päätin kokeilla pimeässä kuvaamista Lauritsalan kirkon pihassa. Vettä pudotti niskaan ja kylmä viima pieksi kinttuja, joten kuvaussessio jäi todella lyhyeksi.

There is a huge factory between us and the next part of town. Went to the other side this evening for a visit. Decided to photograph the church and excersise photographing in the darkness. It was raining and cold wind was making it worse! So it was a very short spin out of my car.

Aurinkoisen marraskuun päivän jälkeen seuraa pakkasyö. Mukavasti vielä väläytti aurinkoa sen perään.

Minulla on vähän rästihommia täällä blogistaniassa, linkittämistä, kommentointia ja sen sellaista. Viikonloppu reissut äidin luo pistävät arkipakan sekaisin. Yritän nyt talven tullen käydä siellä joka toinen viikonloppu, sulanmaan aikaan useammin niin kauan kun hän pystyy kotona asumaan.

After a sunny day in November it turns frosty nights. Luckily we had a pleasure to enjoy an other sunny day today.

I have some unfinished work here in the blog world; linking, commenting and so on. Weekend trips can turmoil the daily routines, but I’m trying to visit Mom every other weekend during the winter time. Other times more often as long as she can live at her own home.

Pimeys on alkanut tupsahtamaan nopeasti iltapäivisin ja lenkkipolulle mennessä on jo aika pimeää. Aurinko nousi tänään 7:59 ja laski 15:57. Valoisaa oli siis sellaisen työpäivän mitan verran.

It is getting darker earlier and earlier, and it gets dark quickly. You have to go walking in the darkness since the daylight is about the length of a working day. Sunrise was today at 7:59 am and it set down at 3L57 pm.

Tänään tuli meille myös maskipakko työaikaan. Koen sen hieman haastavaksi, koska on niitä opiskelijoita joiden olisi hyvä nähdä opettajan kasvot hänen puhuessaan.

From today on the use of mask in the class room is mandatory in our school. I find it little challenging for the students with special needs, who needs to see teachers face when she talks.

How to Survive November 2020 – 1

Virkeästi lähti tämä marraskuun ensimmäinen käyntiin ja aurinkokin näyttäytyi iltapäivällä iloksemme. Tein ystävän kanssa pitkän kävelylenkin Saimaan rantoja myötäilevällä rantaraitilla.

This November begun nicely with a sunny and warm weather, at least 9 celsius. Went to a long walk with a friend to a track that follows the shore so the Great Lake of Saimaa here in the city.
